曼彻斯特大学有商学院吗？
Manchesters new Business School is truly amazing，it's on the top floor of this very business-like building. The location can't be beaten too - just across from Manchester's beautiful town hall and a short walk to Victoria station where you can catch a train back home at night (you have to book in advance for these trains so don’t expect to just turn up). There are also bus stops right outside if you want to save money on public transport by getting the bus. And lastly， it only costs £20 a year as an international student to use all the facilities there including meeting rooms， computers， printers etc. We were given a tour of the brand new facilities recently which was really interesting. I would definitely recommend checking out Manchesters Business School as an option if you’re thinking about doing your Masters.
The university itself has a great reputation. It does value students who can argue their point of view and encourage free speech and independent thought. It’s not like Oxford or Cambridge where everyone knows everyone else. On the first day， I walked into a lecture with no idea who any of my new tutors were！ This meant that we weren’t allowed to take notes because they couldn’t tell whether our notes were going to be used later（which made me laugh） but I actually found it quite refreshing that I didn’t know anyone. However， make sure you do meet some people as part of your degree course as you need to build your network.
For me， one of the best things about University of Manchester is the fact that you get a lot of independence here. You will need to organise and plan most of your own studies but you are encouraged to do so. Your personal development is seen as being extremely important.
For example， when you choose to study with us， we trust you to find the right modules and to manage your time so that you can progress through your degree. When taking your exams， you are responsible for getting to the campus where you are testing， booking accommodation and making sure you are prepared for the day.
You may think that this kind of freedom is scary but it feels like being let off the leash
